Structure file formats
Reseek supports the following structure file formats, which are recognized by their filename extensions:
PDB Old Protein Data Bank format ( .pdb or .ent )
MMCIF New Protein Data Bank format ( .cif or .mmcif )
Reseek C-alpha format Text with aa+coordinates ( .cal ). This format is convenient for manual editing and manipulating with scripts, e.g. extracting a subset.
Reseek binary compressed C-alpha ( .bca ). This format is the smallest and fastest to load.
Compressed structure files in .gz format are supported, e.g. .pdb.gz . See also STRUCTS .
