Taxonomy tree file

A taxonomy tree file is a tab-separated text file with four fields. By convention, taxonomy free files have the .tt extension.

Field   Description
1   Integer specifying a node in the tree.

2   Integer specifying the parent node (or -1 if this is the root).

3   Taxonomic name. Use "Root" for the root node.

4   Name of the taxonomic level (phylum, class, genus, etc.). All nodes at a given taxonomic level must be the same distance from the root. The root level name is "rootrank".
